Accommodations: Lodging in that area in the summer fills up VERY QUICKLY, so we recommend you start looking now for places! Below you’ll find some sites which might be good places to start looking, but there are many more we haven’t covered, so don’t feel you need to limit yourselves to what we’ve listed.
Provisions: Food and materials can be a bit expensive once you’re on Mt. Desert Island itself, so if you want to stay on the island we suggest you stock up in Ellsworth, ME on your way to Acadia.
For Bed and Breakfasts in Bar Harbor:
We personally recommend the Acacia House, which has the best breakfast (all local, organic), great rates, a green business model, and VERY NICE hosts!
